Vale dos Jardins (Gardens Valley)
A rare topography that counts on gorgeous natural resources and limestone outcrops. A region that stands out from its surroundings. A raw gem left for us to work with.
The distinct location of the site, with a view to the Mel Range (or would it be Vianas Range?), the large green preservation area and the natural lakes have directed us to a sparse form of occupation, but also one that could make the project economically viable. We have, then, proposed forms of settlement that could secure the preservation of the views, as well as sizeable portions of permeable ground, environmental protection areas, tree population and the creation of artificial lakes in existing floodplains. This form of settlement allows for large spans between the buildings and thus presents a significant difference when compared to other forms, characterized by lower permeability rates.
