The annex building of the Academy, with its gesture, receives the gaze of those who climb Rua da Bahia and lead to the solemn mansion of Borges da Costa.

 

Both buildings keep their identity, but dialogue with each other through the harmony of volumes and reused architectural elements.

 

Internally, in the foyer-gallery with double right foot and zenital lighting and in the autograph room and auditorium, an atmosphere of luminosity and openness is designed in contrast to the interiority of the mansion.

 

Two-stroke talk, two contrasting views that generate an open place.
